Today’s Massachusetts–Nova Scotia offshore wind agreement reflects a shared understanding that offshore wind can strengthen energy security and grid reliability while lowering energy costs—if we plan and build it together. Coordinated transmission planning will be critical to deliver the electricity from this resource to where it’s needed most at the least cost. This collaboration highlights how Massachusetts ports, supply chains, and workers can support offshore wind development throughout our region, creating good-paying jobs here at home.
